Every woman I know cares deeply about her relationships. She fantasizes about healthy, harmonious relationships with a significant other, family, friends, colleagues, and co-workers because women know that our goodness flows from strong, succulent relationships. We can absolutely realize our heart's desires, if, and only if, we are willing to cultivate a healthy, harmonious relationship with ourselves! The talks, seminars, coaching that I offer all have one thing in common, they aim to assist you in creating a dynamic, loving relationship with you!

How to Get Thru What You're Going Thru

Stuff happens. Stuff that feels good happen and  painful, scary stuff also happen to us. No one's immune. One year I flew to balmy Puerto Rico for a wealth conference, shaved $200 off my monthly mortgage payments when I refinanced my home, did my first Paris, France book reading and signing, bought a new car the 14th of one month and was fired from my job of three and a half years the 14 of the very next month,  my home was burglarized on my daughter's 17th birthday, and I went through a painful breakup. Phew! What a year. After it was all said and done, not only am I still standing but I am standing taller, feel stronger and am happier. No one escapes life's bumps on the road. No one. How we navigate these bumps can make or break us. In How to Get Thru What You're Going Thru, I give participants practical and spiritual strategies that will help them get through ANYTHING successfully...and stronger for having gone through.

How to Get Over Him

On any given day, pick up any woman's magazine and you'll get a load of tips on how to find a man, how to keep him and how to rock his world between the sheets. I'm the first to say, some of that advice is helpful. But what do you do if your man leaves while you're still very much in love with him? Now you're crushed, brokenhearted, maybe even depressed. What if none of your tricks and pleas have worked to change his mind? Well, now you're forced to move on without him. How do you let go? How do you get over him? And how do you mend your broken heart so you can be ready and able to love again? I'm so glad you asked. Well, this former love junkie has had her share of relationships, consequently she's also experienced her fair share of breakups. One time it took me five years to get over a beau! Holding on that long is a thing of the past. I now know the secret to getting over a man! Let me share my discovery with you!

It's Not Him, It's YOU!

All the time women spend trying to change a man is time wasted. It's not him who needs to change, it's her! If a man puts her down, shuts her down, yells at her, puts her at the bottom of his to-do list, curses her, cheats on her, berates her, beats her, shames her, criticizes her, blames her, calls her names, she need not bother trying to overhaul him, she needs to reinvent herself! Women teach men how to treat us! Like I've told my daughter since she could walk and talk, if you don't like the way someone treats you, don't blame them, take responsibility for what you've taught them! That's right. A man will only do to a woman what she permits him to do. Consider this, the man in a woman's life is a reflection of her. Remember the Law of Attraction? Well, we attract not what we say we want but who we are. A woman with low self-esteem will tolerate all manner of abuse to keep a man. My confession: I once was this woman. In It's Not Him, It's YOU! I share how I learned to stop wasting my life energy trying to do the impossible--change a man. I also share how falling in love me has made me more enchanting and charming to the oppisite sex and has radically transformed my relationships with men!

Sex is Not One of the Five Food Groups

We live in a sex-crazed society and it's killing us. You'd think sex was one of the five food groups. We jump in bed with men we don't know, risking the well being of our health and heart. Black women are increasingly the face of HIV/AIDs because, largely, we give our power to men. But why? We don't love or esteem ourselves enough. In Sex is Not One of the Five Food Groups attendees will learn why they must wait to sleep with a man as they discover the keys to making saner choices in love and relationships.

Transform Pain into Power and Purpose

Pain is natural, suffering is optional. And yet so many people suffer through life when life is meant to be lived with joy and passion and purpose. But why is this? It boils down to three things: 1. People are afraid of themselves, so they resist self-examination 2. People are terrified of the unknown, so they choose the "devils" they know, and 3. People need to cultivate a deeper, stronger relationship with the Power that created them. What we don't face we can't fix. We can live the life of our dreams! We can find our passion and purpose! These things are possible when we find the courage to look within, where ALL our answers live. In Transform Pain into Power and Purpose attendees get simple but effective transformational tools that will assist them in putting their past behind them, tap the power within and find and live on purpose!

The Power of Forgiveness

Do you secretly wish your childhood had been better? Do the critical voices of your parents, grandparents, caregivers still haunt you? Are you nursing resentments and harboring anger from relationships that went sour? Are you judgmental and critical of yourself and others? Do you find you repeat the same destructive patterns over and over again even when you resolve to change? Are addictions--to drugs, alcohol, relationships, or sex--running your life? If you answered yes to any of these questions you have some forgiving to do. As I write about in my book Love Addicted, it wasn't until I forgave my father for abusing and abandoning me that my life began to work. Here's the good news, the enchanted, charmed life you so deeply desire is just on the other side of forgiveness! In this talk DeBora seeks to inspire her listeners to embrace forgiveness as a daily practice and provides them with the tools for forgiving hurts big and small.
